The poor condition of roads in Auto Nagar area of Nizamabad has become a major problem for commuters, with recent rains turning streets into muddy, waterlogged stretches.
The image taken from a busy lane in Auto Nagar shows deep potholes filled with rainwater, broken patches, and construction debris lying on the sides. A yellow auto-rickshaw was seen struggling to pass through the slush, while two-wheeler riders had to ride very slowly to avoid skidding.
Local shopkeepers and residents say the road in Auto Nagar has been in this bad condition. Due to lack of proper drainage, water stagnates even after light rain, making it difficult for pedestrians, students, and elderly people to walk.
“We fear accidents every day. Garbage and dirty water also collect here and vehicles keep skidding,” said a resident of Auto Nagar.
Business owners in the area said dust and mud are affecting their shops, and customers avoid coming during rains.
Health experts warned that stagnant water can lead to mosquito breeding and increase the risk of dengue and other diseases during monsoon.
Residents of Auto Nagar have demanded immediate patchwork, proper drainage, and regular garbage clearance to make the roads safe and clean.

ఆటో నగర్, నిజామాబాద్‌లో గుంతల రోడ్లు, నీటి నిల్వతో ప్రజల అవస్థలు

నిజామాబాద్‌లోని ఆటో నగర్ ప్రాంతంలో రోడ్ల పరిస్థితి దారుణంగా మారింది. ఇటీవల కురిసిన వర్షాలతో వీధులన్నీ బురదమయంగా, నీటితో నిండిపోయి వాహనదారులకు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు కలిగిస్తున్నాయి.
ఆటో నగర్‌లోని రద్దీగా ఉండే లేన్‌లో తీసిన ఫోటోలో వర్షపు నీటితో నిండిన లోతైన గుంతలు, విరిగిన రోడ్డు ప్యాచ్‌లు, పక్కన పడి ఉన్న నిర్మాణ వ్యర్థాలు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. ఒక పసుపు రంగు ఆటో బురదలో నెమ్మదిగా వెళ్తుండగా, ద్విచక్ర వాహనదారులు జారిపోకుండా చాలా నెమ్మదిగా వెళ్లాల్సి వస్తోంది.
స్థానిక వ్యాపారులు, నివాసితులు మాట్లాడుతూ ఆటో నగర్‌లో రోడ్డు చాలా కాలంగా ఇదే పరిస్థితిలో ఉందని చెప్పారు. సరైన డ్రైనేజీ లేకపోవడంతో చిన్న వర్షానికి కూడా నీరు నిలిచిపోతోంది. దీంతో పాదచారులు, విద్యార్థులు, వృద్ధులు నడవడానికి ఇబ్బంది పడుతున్నారు.
“ప్రతిరోజూ ప్రమాదాల భయంతోనే ఉంటున్నాం. ఇక్కడ చెత్త, మురికి నీరు కూడా పేరుకుపోతున్నాయి. వాహనాలు తరచుగా జారుతున్నాయి” అని ఆటో నగర్‌కు చెందిన ఒక నివాసి అన్నారు.
ప్రాంత వ్యాపారులు దుమ్ము, బురద కారణంగా తమ దుకాణాలకు నష్టం జరుగుతోందని, వర్షాల సమయంలో కస్టమర్లు రావడం లేదని తెలిపారు.ఆరోగ్య నిపుణులు మాట్లాడుతూ నిలిచిన నీటి కారణంగా దోమలు పెరిగి డెంగ్యూ, ఇతర వ్యాధుల ప్రమాదం పెరుగుతుందని హెచ్చరించారు.ఆటో నగర్ నివాసితులు వెంటనే రోడ్ల మరమ్మతులు, సరైన డ్రైనేజీ, క్రమం తప్పకుండా చెత్త తొలగింపు చేపట్టి రోడ్లను సురక్షితంగా, పరిశుభ్రంగా ఉంచాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారు.
