11 participants, 12 medals and Champions Trophy bagged
Nizamabad, Telangana Daily News : Athletes from Nizamabad have made the district proud at the 1st World Open Taekwondo Championship held in Hyderabad from August 21 to 23.
As many as 11 athletes from Endurance Taekwondo & Fitness Academy (ETA) at Autonagar participated and displayed exceptional talent. Competing in categories like Kyorugi, Poomsae, Speed Kick, Speed Punches and other skill-based events, the team won a total of 7 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze medal, besides clinching the Best Performers Champions Trophy.
Especially in the Kyorugi category, ETA athletes impressed the audience with their attacking skills, tactical brilliance and fighting spirit, registering knockout victories.
The team was trained and guided by Master Syed Gayas, who has over 25 years of experience in Taekwondo and sports coaching. He is a Physical Education Teacher (PET), Taekwondo Black Belt, National Best Coach and Referee. His focus on discipline, fitness, technical skills and competition preparedness played a key role in the success.
School managements, parents, fans and sports personalities congratulated the ETA athletes and Master Syed Gayas, terming the victory a proud and memorable moment for Nizamabad and Telangana.
