The murder case of lawyer Khaja Moinuddin took a political turn after his son Farhan publicly accused Congress leader Alam Khan of orchestrating the killing. Speaking to the media, Farhan linked the murder to a long-standing dispute over Waqf Board properties.
Key Allegations by Farhan:
1. Motive - Waqf Land Dispute: Farhan said his father had been fighting for decades to protect Waqf Board properties. He alleged that Alam Khan and his father encroached on Waqf land and built colleges on it.
2. Legal Battle: Khaja Moinuddin had been filing cases against the alleged encroachments for years.
3. Past Threats & Attacks: Farhan claimed Alam Khan came to their office six months ago and threatened him. He added that there were previous attacks on their offices, and this was the sixth attack on his father.
4. Direct Responsibility: "If anything happens to me or my family now, Alam Khan will be responsible," Farhan stated.

Farhan appealed to the state government to provide security to him and his family.

Lawyer Khaja Moinuddin died while undergoing treatment after being hit by a car near Masab Tank. What was initially a hit-and-run case was later reclassified as murder based on CCTV footage and local evidence. Police suspect a Waqf land dispute angle and have formed 5 special teams to trace the accused.
